about

This has an unusual back-story. In 2002 an ordinary plane flight left me in constant pain on the right side of my head and with vertigo, sensitivity to atmospheric pressure changes, movement and extreme sensitivity to sound. As a pianist, this was devastating, but I continued to practice on a digital piano with headphones rigged so the sound only came out on one side. I figured, even if I couldn't perform, I could still play in some capacity.
I was ill for about 9 years, during which I went through what some would term a shamanic awakening, and developed psychic abilities i'd suppressed as a child, in particular clairaudience. I now work with various guides to bring through music, and this piece was the first that I was given.
The music I hear doesn't come through at modern concert pitch, but slightly flatter, so the pitch of this recording was dropped during the post-production until it matched what I heard. Interestingly this turned out to correlate with A=432hrz tuning.

Over the past year the effects of 'Message From The Mystery' have been under investigation and the piece has been used for earth energy healing - both at a distance and directly - for spiritual healing and for charging crystals. Experiments are ongoing, so I would love to hear people's experiences from listening to it. ♪♫ ♪♫

This track was originally part of a sound installation by the artist Louisa Fairclough, entitled 'Jeannie'. The installation was based on my experiences and was shown at the Arnolfini in Bristol as part of the 2014 Bristol New Music Festival and also at the ICIA University of Bath for several months as part of a wider exhibition by Louisa entitled 'Flecks of a Brighter Colour'. The views and interpretations expressed here are my own and not Louisa's, but she has kindly given her permission for the recording to be shared.
